New Delhi: Ministry of External Affairs Joint Secretary Arun K Goel said on Thursday that India is about to sign an extradition treaty with Indonesia.

The treaty will be signed alongside a bunch of other agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) during Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's three-day visit to India.

''There will be inking of an MoU on establishment of a biennial Trade Ministers’ Forum meaning that our respective trade Ministers will agree to meet once in two years on a regular basis. This apart, there are any number of others which are now being finalised in trade and commerce field,'' he said.

''Bilateral trade has tripled in a period of five years to 11.8 billion dollars last year making Indonesia our second largest trading partner in the ASEAN region,'' he observed.

Goel briefed about the forthcoming state visit of president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono of Indonesia, who will be here from January 24-26 at the invitation of the President of India.

On the Republic Day, president Yudhoyono would be the Chief Guest at the celebrations.

He would also the ‘At Home’ reception hosted by Rashtrapatiji and late in the evening depart from New Delhi.
